Foggy Day, Clear MLK Thoughts

Fog shrouds my favorite running area during yesterday’s eight-miler.

Even when I’m running through fog, as I was yesterday morning, I’m able to think clearly. Exercise is as great for your mind as it is for your body.

So it makes me wonder if Martin Luther King Jr. regularly ran, walked, or cycled. He came up with such amazing quotes! Especially my favorite one:

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

When someone says something that I feel is wrong or I see something that offends me, I remember what MLK said. And I speak up.

Here are a few more favorite MLK quotes on this holiday that honors him:

“The time is always right to do the right thing.”

“Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.”

“It does not matter how long you live, but how well you do it.”

Live well, my friends!
