The Melding of Holidays

My sons seem to like the new menorahs.

Today is Thanksgiving . . . and the first day and second night of Chanukah. Twice the fun!! And it won’t happen again supposedly until the year 79811. We’ve got to grab the gusto while we can.

Ain't he cute?

In honor of this rare occurrence (the first time Chanukah blended with Thanksgiving was in the late 1800s), I bought a menurkey, which my older son chose to light. It’s a little too pale (it would look better if it had a color), but it’ll be a great way for us to remember Chanukah 2013.

Hope y’all have a happy Thanksgiving. Give thanks and enjoy family, friends, food, and football!
